Our Philosophy

Good things deserve to last.

Hygge is a Danish word without a direct translation. It is the feeling of a lit candle, a warm blanket, a meal shared without hurry. It is not a trend — it is a way of inhabiting your home.

We build objects around that feeling. Each piece is designed to do less with more intention — fewer finishes, quieter shapes, materials that age well rather than degrade.

"We didn't set out to design products. We set out to design moments."

— Astrid Lund, Founder

Slowness as a value

Every product undergoes a minimum 18-month development cycle. We don't do fast iterations. We do considered ones.

Material honesty

We name every material and every maker on our packaging. Nothing hidden, nothing synthetic disguised as natural.

Designed to outlast

Lifetime repair programme, refillable formats, and a five-year material guarantee across all textile lines.

The Problem with Modern Home Goods

The home goods market is loud, disposable, and anxious.

78%
Trend-driven purchasing

Of home goods sold in the EU are purchased primarily due to trend alignment rather than functional or emotional need, per GfK 2025 Consumer Sentiment survey.

2.4 yrs
Average product lifespan

The average soft-furnishing or decorative piece purchased from a mass-market retailer is replaced within 2.4 years, generating 34 million tonnes of textile waste in Europe annually.

61%
Regret-buyers

Of consumers aged 28–55 report buyer's remorse on home goods within 6 months, citing quality disappointment as the primary driver (Mintel 2025).

There is a growing, underserved segment of consumers who want fewer, better things — and retailers who want to stock them. We exist to serve that relationship.

Craft & Materials

We trace every material to its origin.

Our supply chain has four links, maximum. That is not a constraint — it is a choice. Fewer links means fewer unknowns, closer relationships, and greater accountability at every stage.

We visit each partner studio twice yearly. We publish our manufacturer list in full. We believe the story behind an object is as important as the object itself.

Certified organic & recycled fibers only
GOTS, OEKO-TEX, and COSMOS Natural certifications across all lines.
Water-conscious dyeing
All wet processing uses closed-loop water systems. Net water use 94% below industry average.
Packaging from recovered materials
All outer packaging uses post-consumer kraft. Inner wrap uses unbleached linen offcuts from our own weaving partners.
Partner studios
